Nutrition and Cancer: 14 Cancer Fighting Superfoods

Cancer is the uncontrolled cell division that leads to a tumor (abnormal growth) and if not treated or controlled could invade nearby tissues and spread to other parts of the body.

The possible causes of cancer include: poor diet, exposure to environmental toxins, genetics, viruses or infections, high stress levels and lack of physical activity.

Studies have shown that a healthy diet filled with anti-inflammatory foods can dramatically reduce cancer risk.

1. Brightly orange-colored fruits and vegetables like citrus fruits, squash, sweet potatoes and carrots
